Keitaro from LoveHina, Light Yagami from Death Note, Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion, and anyone from naruto or inuyasha are best avoided in cosplaying because of the sheer number of people that cosplay them.
I am probably going to make two costumes- Mithos like I originally planned, and Syoran like Sue wants me to cosplay, and just cosplay mithos for part of one of the two days.

Yeah i figured keitaro would have been done a lot so that was why between the two love hina characters i was leaning towards going as seta but now i am leaning more to reito kanzaki from mai-hime.

It made perfect sense to me- Cosplaying as nobody means you are an animecon noob.
Of course once again I really would be an animecon noob, but even I am going in cosplay if I do manage to go.
Dunno though, finances aren't great right now and I might have to work that weekend, it doesn't look good right now for me going.
Sue has said she will be going anyway though.

You see what he really looks like in the last few episodes of first gig, he might even appear in episode 1 of second gig- I know at one point the Major tries to recruit him.
