The Dead is a 1987 film directed by John Huston (the last film he directed before his death, and released posthumously) and starring his daughter Anjelica Huston. It was adapted from the short story of the same name by James Joyce (from his book Dubliners), and nominated for an Academy Award for Writing Adapted Screenplay. It was also nominated for an Academy Award for Costume Design. The film takes place in early twentieth century Dublin at an Epiphany party held by two elderly sisters. The story focuses our attention on the academic Gabriel Conroy (Donal McCann), and his discovery of his wife Gretta's (Anjelica Huston) memory of a deceased lover.

I like Gothica and Resident Evil 2.. weird? perhaps.. Adam Sandler is up there.. but so is Mike Myers.. even though we've all seen Austin Powers like a million times doesn't mean they don't rock!.. although i am sick of them..

I'v recently been watching a few (non-anime) japanese movies. I have watched battle royal, battle royal 2, shinobi heart under blade and most recently suicide club. Battle royal 1 and 2 are simple enough. put 40 15 year old high school students together on an island and force them to kill each other. while throwing in a bunch of plot devices, twists and moments that make you go huh? or WTF? oh and lots of explosions. Shinobi heart under blade is a live action adaptation of the anime and manga called basilisk. Which at its core is. romeo & julliet with ninjas. And finaly there is suicide club. which is a cult horror/thriller/mystery tmovie. with a lot of blood but more subtl then other japanese based horror films like the grudge or the ring, and more huh? or WTF? momments.

I like Donnie Darko and Fight Club. Really strange and out there movies are the ones I like. Whatever makes me think. Jet Li's Fearless is very good. Slow in parts but not what I expected.

if you like movies that make you think then you wold like suicide club and the battle royal movies. as behind the simpilistic plot is a very deep story. and if you like movies that make you think then why dont you like eva.

Well cartoons that make you think are kind of strange. Lol. Eva is not quite what I ment by making you think. I mean a movie that turns your world upside down. Where you think on it for weeks to come, each day learning from it. Something that surprises you mentally and makes your mind go click. If it makes my mind go click, then I like it.
